Mondsee is a lake in Austria, in the state of Upper Austria, bordering the state of Salzburg (Salzburg owns part of the lake's southern shore). The lake is located in the renowned resort region of Salzkammergut, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The lake covers an area of 14.2 square kilometers, is 11 kilometers long, has a maximum width of 2 kilometers, and has a maximum depth of 68 meters. Its elevation is 481 meters. The lake extends from northwest to southeast, with a curved shape resembling a mirror image of the letter S.
The lake is of glacial origin. The western shore is flatter than the eastern. In the southwestern part of the lake, the shore rises and drops off into the lake in the form of a 600-meter-long rock wall, known as the Dragon Wall (Drachenwand). Mondsee is the warmest lake in the Salzkammergut, reaching 26°C (79°F) in summer. There are a lot of fish in the lake.
Gorgeous lighting and a truly grand scale. Incredible distance and volume thanks to the pronounced tonal perspective. The green in the photo is very pleasing to the eye and natural, you could use it as a reference!
Very beautiful! I was there exactly a month ago... but I would have liked to have gone at the end of summer or in the fall... Ours had a completely different view...

Viktor Kravchenko, Yes, while I was taking the photo, I had time to dream about going back there more than once.
