If possible, I'd just like to tell you to make some corrections in this photo...in a friendly manner. I think you'll be much happier with your work once you take all these details into account.
1. The hair is slightly covering the right eye, but it's not a big deal in this shot, as the pupil is clearly visible. However, after you've taken the photo, look at it, think about what's wrong, and ask the model to keep the hair away from her eyes... for example :-)
2. I've read that women's palms and fingers should be photographed slightly differently than men's. They definitely shouldn't be cropped, and it's best not to hide one or more fingers. A woman's palm should always be curved, with minimal space between the fingers.
3. The pose is not quite right in this photo. At first, I thought the woman was pregnant, but then I realized she wasn't. Her belly just sticks out a bit.
Maybe she should have left the part below her chest out entirely? It doesn't really add anything...
But that's just my humble opinion... who am I to lecture? :-) Just some general observations...
I recommend you look at the portraits here: http://www.1x.com - it's a whole other level of photography. :-)
