I'll also share a cafe photo:

Inversed Men, I like to take photos in cafes, although sometimes I ruin people's appetites..))

Boris Gurevich, Russian citizens are even more suspicious of being filmed, so I try to be more discreet.

Boris Gurevich, Russian citizens are even more suspicious of being filmed, so I try to be as inconspicuous as possible.
Inversed Men, Not just Russians. I usually point the camera at the subject (I don't have a zoom or autofocus), place it on the table, and work on my scrambled eggs... and when I see something, I take a picture without bringing the camera to my eye... that's how it works.

Boris Gurevich, I've also repeatedly sworn off photographing beggars, old ladies, and homeless people, based on the idea that if I were in their shoes, I wouldn't want to be photographed. However, sometimes I slip up:

which I sometimes regret.

Inversed Men, I very rarely take pictures of them "head-on" like that...
It's hard for me to pass by them without taking a picture.

Inversed Men,
, I've also sworn off photographing beggars, old women, and homeless people more than once, on the grounds that I wouldn't want to be photographed in their place.
And why not? Have you ever thought about it?
Good day.

Inversed Men, Why not? Have you ever wondered?
Good afternoon.
Sergey Mikhalyuk, I try to put myself in the shoes of the person I'm photographing. The photograph shown is quite old, and I've since reconsidered my approach to street photography and the subjects I photograph.

Inversed Men, I'll tell you that not everyone feels inferior or somehow tense in front of the camera. Even if others see them as poor, old, or homeless. There are people in the world who freely, as equals, look at everyone without exception, don't feel inferior, and therefore act spontaneously. Unfortunately, there are not many such countries left. One of them is Vietnam.

This is gorgeous. What a connection! Just a little bit of contrast in the foreground for my taste.

And I'm sure neither of them wanted to be filmed; the dog loudly confirmed it...)))

Sergey Mikhalyuk, I know. Such people exist in the post-Soviet space, too, but they are few, very few.

Boris Gurevich, I don't find these subjects interesting enough to make any effort to capture them. In street photography, for example, if you really want to, you can find a ton of subjects that, being neutral, won't offend anyone.

That's what I'm getting at: you shouldn't always judge others by yourself...!)
After all, there are those who feel at ease in front of the camera, regardless of their status and modesty in dress....

Sergey Mikhalyuk, Without a doubt, without a doubt. But I'll stick to my principles. Maybe I'll change them someday, but not now.

Inversed Men,
Certainly, certainly. But I will stick to my principles. Maybe I'll change them someday, but not now.
No, no, my friend, you don't have to change your principles. They shape our personalities, including our creative ones. Sometimes, though, they improve, of their own free will. We're just different. And that's a good thing!

NY, like almost any big city, has interesting characters, unusual street scenes, and other oddities in store windows, and more... It's just that in big cities, in my opinion, you see and observe all of this much more often. It's interesting to observe the nuances of various emotions, especially when people meet... though it's not always possible to capture it...

The quality leaves much to be desired, but I really like their emotions here... most likely a first date!)))

Lana Medved 123, I lived in New York in the 1970s, I visit there often, I feel quite comfortable there and am not shy about taking pictures... at most, I spend a few minutes on a short conversation. It's truly a huge field for photography...
